FLYINGBUCK STUD

Breeding Premium Quality Sport Horses

NEWS 2010

12 November -  We have decided to RETAIN our gorgeous, long-legged coloured 2010 FLORISCOUNT filly,  FANTASIA  FB.

Having sold her half-sister, FIRENZA  FB,  at only 5 weeks old, we felt that we really wanted to keep this filly - her temperament is second to none and she presents an ultra-modern silhouette - combine that with her fantastic movement and it becomes a real 'no-brainer' that we should keep this filly and eventually incorporate her into our breeding program.

Accordingly, we offer  FOR SALE  her dam,  GOLDEN SUNSHINE - this homozygous mare is due to foal on 26 April 2011 to the SIR DONNERHALL  son,  SURPRICE.

Please CONTACT  US  for further details.

We also offer FOR SALE...

HOTWIRE  FB  - 2010 dark bay colt foal by HOTLINE

FURSTENBELLE  FB  - 2010 dark bay coloured filly by FURSTENBALL.

Please CONTACT  US   for further details.

08 November - The Stud is always delighted to receive updates and pics from our clients and towards the end of last week, the Stud received some pics of  SHOLTO  FB, whom we sold to Helen Strachan, Aberdeenshire, earlier this year.

It's lovely to see SHOLTO  FB  looking so well and relaxed with his new friends and to hear that he is coming on fine in his new home - thank you, Helen!

We are very much looking forward to this young man's future development with Helen and being able to follow him as he grows and matures.

10 October -  Some new photographs of  HOTWIRE  FB  have been added to our  GALLERY 2010  page - we hope you like them...

He is coming on exceptionally well and we are very pleased with his development so far - he has a wonderfully friendly nature, very correct conformation and moves like a dream!

Although he is still sporting a few fawn foal hairs on his lower limbs, he will eventually be dark bay like both his parents - quite a change from the bright bay he was at birth, but we think that he looks even more handsome now and his new colour sets off his small white star to perfection.

09 October -  It's always a joy to open an email from one of our clients to find news of our stock - today we have received some photographs of SIENNA  FB taken this year  - she is coming on wonderfully and we are delighted that her owner has shared these with us - you may view them on our GALLERY 2010 page - thank you, Caroline!

23 September - We have updated our  SIRES USED 2010  page, giving full details of the very exciting stallions that we selected for our BROODMARES earlier this season.

Have a look at the pedigree tables there and the photographs and videos of the stallions - we are confident that next season's foals will be, once again, truly outstanding!

All are available to purchase in utero  - please  CONTACT US  for full details.

21 September -  Two of our FOALS 2010  left us yesterday morning to head off to their new homes.

FIRENZA  FB and  SHOLTO  FB both loaded quickly and quietly and travelled north - one to Aberdeenshire and the other to the Black Isle.

Both had a very good journey and are happily settling in with their new friends.

We wish their new owners a long and happy partnership with them and very much look forward to seeing photographs of their future development.

Also - further congratulations to Caroline and Davie Paton on their super results at the Ingliston Grand Slam with the beautiful yearling SIENNA  FB - a 2nd in a strong 3 Years and Under Hunter Class and a 1st in the Sport Horse Yearling Class - this very correct filly is just so consistent time after time - well done!

23 August -  On 19 August at the BEF Evaluation at Fountain Equestrian Centre, SIENNA  FB received a First Premium on a score of 8.11 and an absolutely outstanding vetting score of 9/10!

Having been kept waiting for 2 hours past their allotted time spot, it it understandable that this delightful yearling filly was a little flat in her evaluation - one can only imagine the heights she may have reached had she been taken on time - very well done to her owners, Caroline and Davie Paton, Aberdeenshire.

21 July -  Congratulations once again go to Caroline Paton and the gorgeous yearling filly, SIENNA  FB , on their superb results at New Deer Show last weekend.

SIENNA  FB , purchased from FLYNGBUCK STUD as a weanling, won the Yearling Hunter and Warmblood Class and then went on to take Reserve Champion of a very strong Championship Class - just wonderful news and so well-deserved!

I believe that Caroline's husband, Davie, who also shows this filly in-hand, now has some catching up to do with regard to the rosettes tally!!

30 June -  New photographs added today to our GALLERY page...

28 June -  The Stud is very pleased to announce that  SHOLTO  FB is now SOLD following his successful vetting this afternoon.

Many congratulations to his new owner, Helen, who viewed him on 20 June but had to wait until today to vet owing to our attendance at the Royal Highland Show - we wish you every success and much enjoyment with him, Helen, in the coming years!

SHOLTO  FB will go north to Aberdeenshire with Helen at the end of September.

We would like to thank all who enquired about this gorgeous black colt foal.

24 June -  Just time for a quick Royal Highland Show 2010 update  - St Pr St HATARA  FB took first place in the Sports Horse Broodmare Class for the second year running ! - this mare is an absolute gem and continues to provide us with one superb foal after another!

Her stunning 2010 colt foal,  SHOLTO  FB, was placed second in the Sports Horse Foal Class - he behaved himself very well indeed on his first outing and at such a prestigious show.

MAYBE  FB also did the Stud proud, winning a fourth prize in the Sports Horse Broodmare Class. We were very pleased to have this mare in the rosettes once again at the Royal Highland Show 2010, having not shown her there since her success as a yearling.

Her very flashy filly foal, FIRENZA  FB, continued our success by winning a third place in the Sports Horse Foal Class. She is destined to always dazzle wherever she goes.

By virtue of their placings at the Royal Highland Show 2010,  they have also all qualified for the Scottish Sports Horse Mare And Youngstock Series 2010 Grand Slam Championship at Ingliston Equestrian Centre in September - quite a day for these mares and foals, not to mention for ourselves!

Many thanks to Team Singleton, Ayrshire, and to Caroline and Davie Paton, Aberdeenshire, for ensuring FLYINGBUCK STUD stock made its mark on the showing scene once again.

Having settled the mares and foals for the night, it's now time to head off to bed after such a fantastic day.

17 June -  More good news arrived for us today when two more of our BROODMARES  gave a positive heartbeat pregnancy scan!

We are over the moon that both GOLDEN SUNSHINE  FB  and  St Pr St HATARA  FB  are carrying very healthy pregnancies at 29 days and 26 days respectively.

Both these mares held a pregancy once again on first insemination and we extend our thanks to Laura at Provost Vets for her help.

Full details of the sires that we have used will be added to our SIRES USED 2010  page at the close of the breeding season.

09 June - The Stud is delighted to share our good news with you all that our graded Hanoverian broodmare, MAYBE  FB, (Medoc x Philippo x Lotse) has had a positive heartbeat pregnancy scan at 26 days today - many thanks to Laura at Provost Vets for helping us get her in foal on first insemination.

Full details of the sire that we have used will be added to our SIRES USED 2010  page at the close of the breeding season.

26 May -  We would like to introduce  HOTWIRE  FB, our very bold and handsome two day old colt by HOTLINE...

More pics of this exciting, top-class  colt will be added to his own page very soon...

24 May -  The Stud is absolutely thrilled to announce that MADEIRA  FB  had a strong, healthy colt foal by HOTLINE at 1.35am this morning - both mum and baby doing well!

A very rich bay in colour, with a small star  - divine!

Pics of this fabulous colt to follow soon once we have had some sleep...

21 May  -  We are at present awaiting our fifth and final foal for this season and we don't think that we will have to be patient for too much longer!

MADEIRA  FB  is in foal to the Hanoverian Champion stallion,  HOTLINE who is also a 70 day Performance Test Champion and, moreover, has a very remarkable Dressage Index of over 149 points!    With his world class champion breeding of  Hofrat x De Niro x Wendepunkt, it is not hard to see why this foal is so eagerly awaited.

MADEIRA  FB   is currently at 331 days and is positively blooming - she is waxed up and looking very much as though she will foal down sometime tonight...

11 May -  We have just been sent the following photographs and thought we would share them with you...

Here is my good friend, Moira Leggat, puckering up for a kiss from FURSTENBELLE  FB, who was only a few weeks old at the time...

Many thanks to Lynne Little for taking and sending us this and the next two pics! x

Next is FANTASIA  FB - newly born in these pics... fast asleep!!!

And smiling for the camera...   she is going to be a tall girl - very long, elegant legs with movement to match!  - her 2008 half-brother, QUICKSTEP,  from the same dam, GOLDEN SUNSHINE  FB, was third at the Royal Highland Show 2009 in the Coloured Yearling Class and also won coloured Championships and Sports Horse Classes in 2009  - he is also a tall youngster.

We have every reason to believe that FANTASIA  FB  will be at least as equally successful in the show ring and later under saddle if first impressions are anything to go by!

We have also been sent some pics of  SIENNA  FB  - this is one of our  FOALS 2009  and owned from a weanling by Davie and Caroline Paton, Aberdeenshire...

We are thrilled to see how well this young filly is progressing, already this year having qualified for the Scottish Sports Horse Mare and Youngstock In-Hand Showing Championship in September 2010 at Ingliston Equestrian Centre.

Always a very pretty girl, SIENNA  FB continues to draw admiration wherever she goes.

Many thanks once again to Sian Broderick of Animal Snapper Photography for taking and sending us these pics of  SIENNA  FB at home. x

05 May -  Following a successful viewing on 02 May, the Stud is pleased to announce that FIRENZA  FB  is now SOLD. This drop-dead gorgeous filly will go north to her new home at the end of September - many congratulations, Paul!

We wish you every success with her in the future and look forward to regular updates on the progress of this stunning girl.

17 April -  Once again our homozygous tobiano broodmare, GOLDEN SUNSHINE  FB,  has produced a fabulous foal for the Stud!

This time, she was kind enough to present us with a beautiful, long-legged, chestnut tobiano filly by the very exciting young stallion, FLORISCOUNT.

Here she is at around 90 mins old - she is all we had hoped for!!

More photographs will be added at a later date.

17 April -  Congratulations to Davie and Caroline Paton who purchased SIENNA  FB  from the Stud last year.

This SCOLARI  yearling filly out of our St. Pr St  HATARA  FB  qualified last weekend for the inaugural  SCOTTISH SPORTS HORSE  Mare, Foal and Youngstock Sports Horse Series 2010 and so goes forward to the Championships in September.

We are delighted to see how well this outstanding young filly is progressing and look forward to hearing of her many successes in the future.

Keep up the good work, Davie!

11 April -  The Stud had a visit today from our friend, Sian Broderick, of  Animal Snapper Photography.

Sian took advantage of the mares and foals all being outside at grass and took some amazing photographs of them enjoying the wonderful sunshine.

Thank you, Sian - we are thrilled with the photographs!

New individual pages have been added for all of our FOALS 2010  born so far, complete with photographs of FIRENZA  FBFURSTENBELLE  FB, and  SHOLTO  FB

08 April -  Our black SAN AMOUR colt foal has now been named... SHOLTO  FB

Its source is Sioltach, a Scots Gaelic name meaning " Propagator " - rather apt for a colt who just oozes stallion potential!

06 April -  Following quickly on at 01.50 hrs, our St.Pr.St  HATARA  FB   presented us with a strong , healthy, black colt with a star and two hind socks by SAN AMOUR (Sandro Hit x Plaisir d'Amour x Figaro)

This charming chap is definitely a future stallion prospect with his correct conformation and with such illustrious breeding - eligible for Hanoverian Licensing.

05 April -  Our second foal of the season has arrived - this time, SEMPRA  FB  graciously obliged us with an exquisite, coloured filly at 20.45 hrs by Champion Oldenburg stallion, FURSTENBALL (Furst Heinrich x Donnerhall x Classiker)

This delightful little lady has been named  FURSTENBELLE   FB  - this is one coloured foal with superb breeding that is simply not to be missed.

25 March -  Foal watch continues here at Flyingbuck ...

MAYBE  FB is now 9 days past her estimated due date of 15 March and sitting at 351 days.

SEMPRA  FB and St Pr St  HATARA  FB are both now sitting at 322 days, some 20 days short of their estimated due date of 14 April - a few more sleepless nights yet to come, we feel!

21 March -  The Stud has a new logo!

We are thrilled with this new design which includes our Stud Suffix, FB.

Many thanks to Rosalyn Serex for her kindness and generosity in producing this logo.

08 January - As the sub-zero temperatures continue across the UK, our BROODMARES at FLYINGBUCK seem to be coping well and are still happily going out every day.
